We may not know the purpose of our respective skills and abilities or the direction to which they are prone. Nevertheless, if we allow them their due, just because something 'inside' compels us - we become more.  We find in the yielding, times when we feel wholly at peace. We know it is the trail that we must take and even though the ride and the perfection of our skills may require our whole life be spent without ever realizing the fruits of the endeavor, it's okay. Somehow, we know we are fulfilling our destiny.

Listed here are some of my original poems.

The poem is based on a true-life event shared with my Uncle Frank, "Pancho". The poem is my tribute to honor his life and its influence on mine. The link to the left will take you to the poem as it is presented on CowboyPoetry.com.
God's love for each of us is the greatest love you'll ever know... and it's just a breath away.
There's a whole lot of folks that have put a lot of time into trying to figger out how cowboys got to this point in time an' I'm offerin' up yet another perspective.
It is easier to see where you’re going and who you are, when you know where you’re coming from and from whom you came. The link to the left will take you to the poem as it is presented on CowboyPoetry.com. Heritage is also featured in "The Big Round-up"
Judge Roy Bean can turn up in some of the derndest places. Just be ready an' keep an eye peeled.
Seems some lessons Badlands Bill learned back when he first went to livin' like a white man made him kinda skiddish about the queer ways of town-folk.
Badlands has been up and down El Rio Diablo, a- doin' odd jobs for several of the ranchers an' folks who trade regular over at the Juno Store. Here's a story he tells to just about ever'body he meets.
I wonder if the spirit of Christmas, itself isn't of divine origin; designed to consolidate and render forth the best that is in and known to man.
The phrase, "going to war", has always had ominous and forbidding qualities that could reverberate to the very core of the soul.
What once was real in my youth became the fantasy, an ideal out of my reach and increasingly illusive as time progressed.
The image of freedom comprises the knowledge we absorb in school and our emotions regarding losses of family and friends under the umbrella of national involvement.
The attitude and conclusions you draw about life tell more about you, your nature and personality, than it does about life itself.
