Cecil’s artistry and musical styling is steeped in three generations of life on the West Texas Frontier. From out of his family’s rich heritage in the ranching industry and a five hundred year cultural evolution of the free-spirited "Texian-Cowboy", Cecil developed a profound appreciation of the legacy left him. That not withstanding, the influences of many music industry icons, passed and present, are evident in the songs that he sings and the tones that he plays. His style is uniquely his own and is his tribute to those who have experienced great sacrifice and expense to entertain passed and present generations. He honors the legacy they have sustained those many years while incorporating his own style and personality to compile a unique experience of contemporary tradition for listeners of all ages and cultures.

Spectators will sense the familiar influences of Johnny Cash, Elvis Presley and many of Cecil’s other mentor’s. They will ride the meandering trails that traverse forward and backward in song of decades on the trail with the Texas cowboy, as well as the modern-day laments of contemporary country and western music.
